I promise I havent disappeared!

Life has been crazier than usual lately, therefore, I am slacking on my blog! I have been busy with work, homemaking, traveling, supporting my husband, and the latest: having a tonsilectomy! I'm in bed for the next two weeks on meds and liquids. How fun does that sound? I will be back soon!

Adriana's 24th birthday!

I love my Adriana.  She is one of my most honest, loving, fun friends.  I am so excited that we were able to do this party for her!  Adriana's favorite food is Chinese, so we threw her a Chinese themed dinner party!  Stocked with pomegranate wine spritzers, cabernet, mango-raspberry cake, etc!  All the works for my dear friend <3  Love you Adriana and I hope you loved your party as much as we loved giving it to you!

Some bargain shopping today!

I love love love going to consignment stores for children.  I always manage to find great deals on clothes for Riley and our friend's children.  I don't buy much for Riley because we have been SO lucky to have family members who live in Bristol, TN who save all of their child's clothes for Riley.  He is a year and a half older, so it really works out perfectly.  I also found an amazing woman on Ebay when i was pregnant who I bought a few things from.  She has been so wonderful to stay in touch with me and about twice a year she ships me a box of clothes, shoes, pajamas, etc for a great price!  As a Mommy, I still like to buy him a few things here and there :)

Today I went to Kid Tested and found this brand new with tags Ralph Lauren vest for this winter.  Originally $45, priced at $9.50, talked down to $8!

Also found a great deal at Target for Donna's baby, Isabelle :)  I'm obsessed with Dr. Seuss.  I love love love it!  $6 total for the outfit on the clearance rack.  I just couldn't resist!

Now for Ronnie's deal of the day!  Vodka! But this Grey Goose came in a pretty carrying case with two glasses and stirring sticks!  :)  I adore my sweet hubs.

Another Monday night dinner!

Tonight it was just myself, Nic, and Jessica.  We had pan seared chicken, green beans with mushrooms, au gratin potatoes, and garlic whole wheat bread.  Delicious! <3

Making lunch for tomorrow :)

I bought a rotisserie chicken at Harris Teeter and we only ate about half of it, so I thought I'd turn the rest into chicken salad for lunch :)

Ingredients:

 1/2 rotisserie chicken

light Duke's mayo

mustard

sweet pickles

chopped basil

grapes - halved

Add a cute boy to help!

...and voila! Pack some toasted whole wheat bread, baby carrots, and grapes and you have a delicious nutritious lunch!  (Lean shake pictured is breakfast)

July 4, 2011! Downtown and firework fun!

Today was just an all around fun day!  I love spending time doing fun things with my little Riley.  He loved today, even if it was WAY too hot! He ended the day exhausted, but sure did have a great one!  That's enough to make me smile :)
