Softball and dirt mountains

After going to see Ronnie play in two softball games, back to back, with a still broken finger (silly boy) we had a really relaxing and uneventful Friday night!  A couple glasses of cabernet and television with my love.  I was quite content <3

P90X and grocery steals!

So tonight it was time for the next session with Adriana!  We did Kenpo X tonight which is a super intense, but also super fun kickboxing work out.  We got through about 45 minutes tonight and skipped to the cooldown.  Talk about sweat!  Yuck, I was pretty gross, but felt amazing.  Can't wait for the next one!

After our workout, I headed to Harris Teeter to take advantage of Super Double Coupons!  Coupons double up to a $1.98 value.  I spent about an hour clipping and organizing my coupons and it was more than worth it.  My original total was $120.00.  I paid only $37.00.

I AM A COUPON QUEEN!

On a terrible note, I just ate part of Ronnie's leftover steak and cheese sandwich.  Ughhh why oh why?  I was starving by the time I was done with this day, so I went for convenience.  Bad choice.  :(

Holy Sorrreeeee legs!

Well it hurts to move this morning.  I guess this is a good thing?  Gotta do it all over again on Thursday.  Iy yi yi.  Thank you P90X and Adriana!

Today starts my parent-teacher conferences with the parents of the kids in my class.  This is always a stressful time for me.  Nobody wants to hear bad things about their child, and most of them do not have to.  I love all of my kids and they are such a joyful part of my life, so I definitely feel the need to be honest about academic and behavioral problems.  I just have to be really careful about the way I word things and constantly remind myself that as a mother your child is the most important thing in your world and  to say things with much professional tact.

Stressful week....but winding down with my best friend and pre-family roommate, Lindsay.  I have not been able to see near as much of her as I would like to lately.  Life simply happens too quickly.  Lucky for me, she is moving into an apartment just minutes from me!  I love kicking back with her, a good movie, and a glass of wine.  Many good nights and tons of unforgettable memories!
Nighty night.

P90X!

Tonight, Adriana and I did our first session of p90x.  We have agreed to start working out on this program twice a week and slowly work ourselves up to every day.  I know myself well, and I tend to make commitments that are way too over my head.  I get discouraged and frustrated and give up very quickly, so this way we both have a great support system and there aren't any crazy expectations.

We also are not going in order of the videos.  Tonight we did plyometrics aka jumping around and lots of squats!  We lasted 30 minutes of the one hour session! But even though we couldn't finish it, we went out for a walk for the remainder of the 30 minutes.  It's fun and I love her for making me do it :)

Easter dinner!

Oh what a wonderful time we had tonight.  I made a honey ham, Martha Stewart macaroni and cheese, buffalo chicken dip, and rolls.  Nic brought garlic green beans and a delicious fruit dessert!  Adriana and Drew brought a fabulous salad and a pastry dessert.  Andrea brought a yummy cookie cake (and a friend)! ;)  Jessica and Adam brought mashed potatoes.  Holy moly, we had sooo much food.  Donna and Gus came down to join the festivities after dinner, so we had a full apartment!

After eating this fabulous meal, we went outside and sent the kids on an Easter egg hunt.  They enjoyed it and we enjoyed watching how flipping cute they are.  We stayed outside until after 9pm!  We brought Riley's baseball and golf stuff outside for the kid to play with and the big boys played catch.  Us girls sat on the ground and watched it all while sipping wine and chatting.  It was indeed a very lovely Easter dinner <3

Easter day: Egg dying and planting!

Dying eggs was super fun!  Ry really enjoyed using the magic crayon and watching the eggs change colors.

After egg dying and a quick nap for Riley (cleaning and laundry for me!) we headed outside with Donna to help her plant their herbs and tomato plants!  Super fun, not to mention we planted right next to the playground :)

Happy Easter morning!

Oh to be a young child on Easter morning.  Riley was so excited he could barely stand the anticipation of the Easter bunny's arrival!  He woke up this morning and went straight for the cabinet to get a snack, as he does every morning.  When he turned around and saw his easter basket his face lit up and he went running saying "The Easter Bunny came to my house!!!"  What a lovely little moment I got to share with him <3  I know I'm a bit overboard with the pictures, but I just adore them all.
