We will miss you, Andrea!

Tonight we had a small dinner at Adriana and Drew's to say goodbye to our dear friend, Andrea.  She has been such a sweet friend to me and I will surely miss her.  I will always remember her willingness and excitement to help me with Riley's birthday party!  She handmade his centerpieces and banner and they were PERFECT.  Hopefully I will see you soon, lovely. <3

We love Art Quest!

In case you didn't know, Art Quest is downtown at the Green Hill Center for NC Art and every Wednesday from 5-7 it's FREE!  We love love love it :)

Open-faced chicken caprese sandwiches and feet painting!

You need:

• Olive oil and rosemary bread round, cut into slices
• Thin chicken breasts seared, salt and pepper to taste
• Fresh German Johnson tomatoes, sliced
• Mozzarella, sliced
• Fresh basil

Stack in this order up to basil.  Broil for five to ten minutes, until cheese is bubbly.  Add basil and enjoy!

After dinner, Riley and I headed outside for some finger (and toe) paint!  We had tons of fun and have new art to hang in the playroom :)

Ingredients: Zucchini, feta cheese, lemon zest (and the juice of half a lemon), dill, and light oil.
Mix and serve!

The weekend wrap up!

We had a pretty relaxing weekend!  My brother spent the weekend with us, Nic hung out, played outside, made a few delightful meals.  Not much of anything :)

I so miss living in my old neighborhood.  My parents are there, many of my friends are there, not to mention the house itself!  I love British Woods.  I went to a wine night at one of the neighbor's homes and had such a great time catching up with everyone!  This really must happen more often! <3

Happy twenty-first Lolo!!

We celebrated Cody's twenty-first birthday with the family today at Jeff and Penny's!  Though I gave him his gift of a "create your own six pack" (two of those) a few weeks ago, it was great to celebrate over dinner and cake with our super fun family. <3
